Quickstart

Create your workspace, add your website and land on your first Growth Plan in about ten minutes.

This guide takes you from nothing to a ranked backlog of moves and your first weekly plan. Setup itself takes a few minutes. The analysis keeps running in the background, so you never have to wait on a step.

Before you start: the free scan (optional)

You can try LogNorm without an account. Enter your site in the scan box on the home page and LogNorm checks up to 25 public pages, gives you a Growth Score, lists your biggest gaps and shows a blurred preview of your backlog. Most scans finish in under a minute.

From the scan result, click Create free account. Your workspace setup then picks up the scanned site, so the website field is already filled in.

Free scans are limited to 5 per hour from one network. A site scanned in the last 24 hours returns the same result instead of scanning again.

Set up your workspace

  1. Create your account

On the sign-up page, enter Your name, Work email and a Password of at least 8 characters, then click Create account. If your LogNorm server has social sign-in enabled, you can use that instead.

Use your company email if you can. When an admin turns on domain auto-join, teammates with the same email domain can join your workspace without an invitation.

  2. Create a workspace

Enter a Workspace name (usually your company or product) and click Create workspace. A workspace holds your websites, team, credits and AI keys.

Your first workspace comes with a 14-day Growth trial and 1,000 credits. Each person gets the trial once: any workspace you create later starts on the Free plan. If a teammate already invited you, or your email domain can join an existing workspace, you see those options on this screen too.

  3. Add your website

Enter your Website address and click Analyse my site. Use the site your customers land on, usually your marketing site rather than your app.

Below the address, Market shows the country your keyword and competitor data will come from. It starts as the United States, or as the country of a country domain such as .de. Click change to pick another of the 94 supported countries before you continue; you can also change it later in SettingsWebsites.

LogNorm starts crawling straight away. When the crawl finishes it runs the SEO audit, keyword research and competitor discovery on its own, and every finding turns into moves. Only owners and admins can add a website; anyone else sees a Waiting on your admin screen until one does.

  4. Give LogNorm some context

Everything on this step is optional and editable later, but it sharpens every move:

    • What does your site do, in one line? and Who is your ideal customer? LogNorm offers suggestions from the analysis once it has them.
    • Up to three competitors. Type their domains, or pick from the competitors LogNorm proposes when the analysis finishes. Your plan’s competitor limit applies.
    • Company Brain (optional). Add up to three URLs (docs, pricing, changelog) and paste notes on positioning or the words customers use. Every brief and draft cites these sources. See Company Brain.

Click Save and continue, or Skip for now.

  5. Connect Google Search Console

Click Connect with Google and approve read-only access. LogNorm reads clicks, impressions and positions and never writes anything. Search Console unlocks page-two queries, decay alerts and before-and-after measurement for every move you ship.

Then click Finish setup (or Open my Growth Dashboard once connected). You can skip this step and connect later. See Google Search Console.

  6. Plan your first week

You land on the Growth Dashboard. While the first jobs run, a progress panel shows what LogNorm is doing and the page updates itself. Moves appear in the This week’s plan tile as they are found.

Click Plan my week to open the weekly plan, then Fill to target to add LogNorm’s top recommendations in one go. The Growth Plan guide covers the rest.

Setup saves as you go

Close the tab at any point and you pick up on the same step next time you sign in.

What happens in the background

After you add your website, LogNorm runs a chain of jobs. You can watch them under Activity.

JobWhat it produces
Site analysisYour pages, positioning, ideal customer and buyer-journey coverage
SEO auditVerifiable technical findings, which become fix moves
Keyword researchKeyword suggestions and topics, which become content moves
Competitor discoverySuggested competitors from real search data
Growth strategistStrategic moves no single analysis can see, plus the reasoning for top moves
Scorecards and rankingLogNorm’s read on each move and its place in the ranking

These jobs use credits from your trial balance. New moves show Ranking… for a minute or two until LogNorm places them against the rest.

If something looks empty

  • No moves yet. The first analysis can take a few minutes on a large site. Check Activity for running or failed jobs.
  • No growth chart. The chart needs Search Console. The first sync pulls 16 months of history, so the chart fills in once it lands.
  • You want more moves. Click Run growth review on the Growth Dashboard or the Moves page, or ask the growth strategist directly.
