LogNorm vs Search Atlas: who should fix your site, OTTO or your agent?

LogNorm vs Search Atlas turns on how fixes reach your site. Search Atlas is an all-in-one SEO suite for agencies, and its OTTO pixel applies on-page changes for you, from $99 a month. LogNorm ranks the work, your coding agent fixes the source, and LogNorm verifies it live. Agencies pick Search Atlas; startups with a codebase pick LogNorm.

What is the difference between LogNorm and Search Atlas?

Search Atlas tries to do everything for many sites at once, while LogNorm focuses on deciding and shipping the right work for your own site. Search Atlas says it "runs your marketing across every channel and fixes what breaks while you sleep". Its suite spans a site auditor, rank tracking, backlinks and link building, Google Business Profile automation, content tools, LLM visibility and white-label client portals.

LogNorm covers audits, keywords, competitors, AI visibility and content, and its centre is a ranked Growth Plan: every finding becomes a move, moves are ranked head to head, and your team and agents work the top of the list.

OTTO vs fixing at the source: which is better?

OTTO is faster to switch on, and source fixes are easier to own over time. You install OTTO by placing its pixel in your site header or through Cloudflare DNS, and it automates titles, schema, canonical URLs, broken and redirected links, Open Graph and Twitter cards, headings, meta tags, alt text and internal links. It can also write changes into WordPress, HubSpot, Webflow, Shopify, Contentful and Duda through native connectors.

LogNorm takes the other path. Each audit issue becomes a move with every affected URL. Your coding agent finds where those pages come from (a template, a metadata function, a redirect map, robots.txt) and fixes the cause in your repo through your normal pull request. Then Validate fix re-fetches up to 1,500 affected pages on the live site and closes the move only when they pass. See the site audit.

How do their AI visibility features compare?

Search Atlas covers more engines on its higher plans, and LogNorm includes AI visibility from its entry plan. Search Atlas's Starter plan has no LLM visibility. Growth tracks ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode, and Pro adds Copilot and Perplexity, with sentiment tagging and daily refreshes.

LogNorm asks ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews in the real products from your market's country. It separates mentions from citations, records every source each engine cited, and lists the third-party pages that name competitors and not you. Learnings become moves, and the Impact tab shows whether answers changed after you shipped. Read more on AI visibility.

Which has better SEO research and content tools?

Search Atlas has more research tools; LogNorm judges the research for your business. Search Atlas plans include a rank tracker, backlink research, link building, Topical Maps, Content Genius with AI article credits, and Search Console and GA4 data.

LogNorm's keyword research makes a call on every keyword's relevance, intent, page format and buying stage, groups keywords into pages and topic clusters, and plans hub-and-spoke content. The Content Studio briefs from live search results and your Company Brain, checks every claim against your own sources, and publishes to 12 destinations including GitHub pull requests.

How do agents and MCP work in each?

Search Atlas publishes a large MCP server for its data and tools, while LogNorm's MCP server brings your agent into a team workflow. Search Atlas's open-source MCP server lists more than 500 tools across OTTO, PPC, Content Genius and LLM visibility, authenticated with a Search Atlas API key or token.

LogNorm connects Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Claude with one sentence and an OAuth Allow click. The agent joins as a named teammate with permissions you choose, claims moves from the ranked plan, fixes your repo, writes drafts for review and comments every step on the dashboard. Its own work runs on your Claude or Codex plan and costs no LogNorm credits. See agents.

How do you know which fix or page to do first?

LogNorm answers that with one ranked list; Search Atlas describes many tools on its site but no single ranked plan across them. Automation helps with fixes OTTO can apply, but a startup's week also holds pages to write, competitor moves to answer and AI answers to change.

In LogNorm each finding from audits, Search Console, keywords, competitors and AI answers becomes a move with its evidence. LogNorm compares moves in pairs, asks each question both ways round, and fits the answers into one ranking. Each move shows why it sits where it does. Set a weekly target, and the plan fills with the top moves nobody holds.

Shipped moves get a Search Console baseline and are measured at 28 and 90 days. A move counts as won by fixed rules, such as 20% more clicks or three positions gained, so you learn which kinds of work pay off. The results docs list the rules.

How much do Search Atlas and LogNorm cost?

Entry prices match at $99 a month, and the plans diverge after that. Search Atlas shows annual-billed prices by default; the monthly prices below are from its Monthly toggle on 2 Oct 2026.

When is Search Atlas the better choice?

Search Atlas is the better choice for agencies that need one suite across many client sites.

  • You need backlinks, link building and Google Business Profile automation in the same tool.

Frequently asked questions

What is OTTO SEO?

OTTO is Search Atlas's automation layer. You install a pixel in your site header or connect through Cloudflare DNS, and it automates on-page items such as titles, schema, canonicals, links, meta tags and alt text. It can also write changes into some CMSs through native connectors.

Is Search Atlas good for small businesses?

It can be, but its plan copy is aimed at agencies and multi-site teams, and the entry plan has no LLM visibility. A single-site startup often gets more from a tool that ranks its own work and tracks AI answers from the first plan.

Does Search Atlas have a free trial?

Yes. Search Atlas offers a 7-day trial with a free 30-minute onboarding session. LogNorm offers a Free plan and a 14-day Growth trial with 1,000 credits and no card.

Can LogNorm fix SEO issues automatically?

LogNorm finds the issues, ranks them and hands them to your coding agent, which fixes the cause in your codebase. LogNorm then re-checks the live pages and closes the move when they pass. It does not inject changes into your pages.

Is SEO automation safe for my site?

It depends on where the change lands. Reviewed changes in your codebase are the easiest to audit and undo. Our guide to SEO automation covers what to automate and what to keep under review.
