What is the difference between LogNorm and Clearscope?
Clearscope helps you write a better version of a page you have already chosen, and LogNorm helps you choose the page, then writes and checks it. Clearscope's tagline is "Get Discovered on Google, ChatGPT, and What's Next", and its product covers query discovery, writing, optimization, content monitoring, AI visibility and internal linking.
LogNorm starts one step earlier. It audits your site, researches keywords and competitors, and asks ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews your buyers' questions. Each finding becomes a move, and moves are ranked into a weekly Growth Plan. Content is one kind of move among fixes, refreshes and outreach.

Which grades and optimizes content better?
Clearscope is the stronger pure optimizer, because grading drafts against what ranks is its core job. Clearscope says it grades "content for topic coverage in real-time", with instant feedback on topic coverage and a content score as you draft, plus feedback on headings and readability. It works inside Google Docs, Microsoft Word and WordPress, so writers stay where they already write.
LogNorm grades differently. Its scorecard checks overall intent match, audience fit, originality and whether the article leads with the answer, then goes section by section: does each section answer its heading, stay on intent and stay specific. It doesn't give a term-coverage grade against ranking pages, so a writer who tunes drafts term by term will miss that in LogNorm.
In practice the two grades answer different questions. Clearscope asks whether your draft covers the topics the ranking pages cover. LogNorm asks whether the draft answers the search, leads with that answer, and says only true things about your product. Teams that already rank well and want to hold position tend to value the first; teams still building their first pages of search traffic tend to need the second.
Which tool checks facts in a draft?
LogNorm checks facts; Clearscope's pages don't list a fact checker. In LogNorm's Content Studio, every claim with a figure, a superlative or a product statement is compared with the best matching passages from your Company Brain, company facts and the brief's research.
Each claim is marked supported, contradicted or not mentioned, with the evidence and LogNorm's confidence beside it. A contradicted claim is flagged for you to fix before review. For a startup whose pricing and features change monthly, this catches the errors that hurt most: a wrong price, an old plan limit or a feature you retired. It also means a draft written by your agent gets the same check as one written by a person.
How do Clearscope and LogNorm decide what to write?
Clearscope gives you discovery tools to explore topics, and LogNorm ranks topics against the rest of your growth work. Clearscope's Discover module finds search and AI opportunities from a topic or website URL, and Essentials includes 20 topic explorations a month.
LogNorm's keyword research draws on your seed topics, keywords you rank for in the top 30, Search Console queries and competitor gaps, in 94 countries. It groups keywords into pages and hub-and-spoke topics. Each planned article becomes a move, compared in pairs with every other move, so a new post only makes the week if it beats a broken redirect or a refresh for your hours. The topics docs explain the grouping.
How do they track AI visibility?
Both track AI answers; LogNorm covers one more engine and turns gaps into moves. Clearscope's pricing page lists query tracking across ChatGPT and Gemini with brand visibility monitoring on every plan, and 50 tracked queries on Essentials.
LogNorm asks your prompts in the real ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews products from your market's country, on a schedule you choose. It reports mentions and citations separately, labels how each answer treats you and every competitor, and lists cited pages that name competitors and not you. Starter tracks 10 prompts, Growth 50 and Scale 250. See AI visibility.
What about refreshing old content?
Both watch published pages; Clearscope alerts you, and LogNorm turns the decline into a ranked refresh move. Clearscope's Protect module gives content health grades that "keep you informed when your content loses relevance", integrates with Google Analytics and Search Console, and raises alerts for 404s, indexing issues and crawl problems.
LogNorm's published-content audit reviews your posts for age, outdated years and fit with the keyword they rank for. Posts that likely need a refresh become refresh moves, and a refresh rewrites the post from fresh research and its Search Console queries. Shipped refreshes are measured at 28 and 90 days.
Can your AI agent work with LogNorm or Clearscope?
LogNorm is built for it, and Clearscope's product pages don't describe an agent workflow. In LogNorm, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Claude joins the workspace over MCP as a named teammate. It claims ranked moves, writes briefs and drafts in your voice, fixes SEO and GEO issues in your repository and comments every step.
The agent's own thinking and writing run on your Claude or Codex plan, so they cost no LogNorm credits and need no AI key. People still approve and publish. The agents docs cover permissions.
How much do Clearscope and LogNorm cost?
LogNorm is cheaper to start, and Clearscope is cheaper for large teams because users are unlimited. Monthly prices as published on 8 Oct 2026.
| Tier | LogNorm | Clearscope |
|---|---|---|
| Free or trial | Free plan; 14-day Growth trial, no card | 14-day free trial |
| Entry | Starter $99: 1 website, 2 members, 10 AI prompts | Essentials $129: 20 drafts, 50 pages, 50 tracked queries |
| Next | Growth $149: 3 websites, 10 members, 50 prompts | Business $399: 300 pages, 300 tracked queries, account manager |
| Larger | Scale $299: 10 websites, unlimited members | Enterprise: custom, with SSO |
| Going over | Credit packs | Essentials: extra pages $25/mo, extra drafts $50 |
LogNorm counts credits for what it runs, and your agent's writing uses none. Clearscope counts drafts and pages. See LogNorm pricing for the full plan table.
